Set the scientific direction for metabolic and endocrine programmes and lead the work from target research toward candidates suitable for preclinical and clinical studies. You’ll select and evaluate projects, manage development through the preclinical stage, build the biology team, and coordinate with colleagues preparing clinical submissions.
What you’ll lead
- Provide scientific leadership for metabolic and endocrine research, selecting and evaluating new projects and taking them through project initiation.
- Manage the path from target identification through preclinical research: target validation, bioassay models, compound selection and design, efficacy, and pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic evaluation. Deliver candidates suitable for preclinical and clinical studies.
- Build and manage the biology research team. Develop the department’s structure, work plans and allocation of responsibilities to maintain research quality and efficient delivery.
- Coordinate with teams preparing clinical submissions and other project colleagues to move programmes forward.
What you’ll bring
- A PhD in a biology-related discipline, at least ten years of R&D experience in metabolic or endocrine disease, and at least five years of team-management experience.
- Knowledge of drug-development activity in China and internationally, a strong grounding in biological mechanisms and function, and the ability to identify promising targets for drug and biotechnology development.
- A thorough understanding of drug development, with hands-on experience taking a programme from target selection through discovery and candidate compounds to an IND submission.
- Extensive drug-development experience, the ability to lead scientific and cross-functional teams, and extensive experience collaborating with and managing contract research organizations (CROs).
- Initiative, careful work and professional integrity, together with strong team-management and collaboration skills.

1. 为公司代谢/内分泌研发项目提供科学领导，完成创新项目的筛选、立项、评估等； 2. 领导代谢/内分泌研发项目，交付可用于临床前和临床研究的优质候选药物，负责从靶点标识到临床前的全流程管理，包括但不限于靶点识别/验证、生物检测模型化合物选择和设计、药效、PKPD评估等； 3. 负责组建与管理生物学研究团队，完善部门结构，制定合理的工作计划和任务分工，保障团队工作质量和效率； 4. 负责与临床申报等团队对接合作，快速推动各项目进展； 5. 积极完成交付的其他工作任务。
任职要求
1.博士学历，生物学相关专业，熟悉国内外药物研发动态，在代谢/内分泌研发领域有至少10年研发经验，5年以上团队管理经验； 2.具有扎实的生物作用机理与功能的知识背景，对潜在的可应用于药物开发和生物技术开发靶点有敏锐的认知； 3. 熟知新药研发流程，有从靶点选择、药物发现、候选化合物到IND的完整项目实战经验； 4. 有丰富的药物研发经验，能管理并领导不同科学家团队和跨职能团队，有丰富的CRO合作和管理经验； 5. 主观能动性强，工作认真细致，具有良好的道德修养及团队管理、合作精神。
