Developing and commercializing medicines for metabolic disease

Founded in 2014, Innogen is a science-driven biopharmaceutical company working to provide innovative, accessible and affordable high-quality medicines for metabolic diseases. It listed on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in August 2025 under stock code 02591.

Innogen’s first marketed medicine, efsubaglutide alfa (Diabegone), received NMPA approval in January 2025 for adults with type 2 diabetes. Previously known as supaglutide, it is being studied for further uses, including obesity and overweight, and new dosing regimens. Innogen is also developing early-stage candidates for metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH) and other diseases. The pipeline shows progress by indication, territory and dosing regimen.

Innogen develops its pipeline in-house and holds global development and commercialization rights for its programs. Its intellectual-property portfolio includes granted patents and patent applications in China and overseas. As of 25 August 2026, international development included adult obesity and overweight research in Australia and a registration application for efsubaglutide alfa in adult type 2 diabetes in Brazil.
